When did you start to sing and perform?
I discovered my talent for singing at a very early age, and was in my first band at school called Diesel. I bought my first guitar at 16 and have always been passionate about rock music.
Tell about some of your previous projects.
I played guitar and sang backing vocals in a duo called Blasted in St Albans. I was a founder member and front man with classic rock covers band The Lash along with Richie Roberts from Meppershall, Herts. I was with them for 6 years performing all around Herts and Beds. Richie still leads this band in its 6th iteration. The Lash had the honour of supporting Bernie Marsden Band (Whitesnake) at a private birthday party.I moved to the North East in 2014 and became a part of the local music community based in Burnopfield who were very welcoming, where I joined The Fresh Air Stealers and performed with them once a week.
Who are your influences?
Paul Rogers, Bon Scott, Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who. Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath.
If you had to take one album to your desert island, what would it be and why?
Exile On Cold Harbour Lane by Alabama 3. The creativity on the album is something I never get tired of listening to.
What gear do you tour with?
Just my vocal chords, in ear monitors and excellent sound engineers. Wardrobe by Julie Fenwick of Darn Good Sewing.
One obscure interesting fact about yourself?
Like Ozzy, my father Jack Lambert was an Al Jolson nut, who loved nothing better than to black himself up and perform in front of people. This probably played an important part in inspiring me to perform.
