How long you been together?
We have been together since August 2017
Why a Sabbath tribute?
The band was the brain child of Mick Simpson and Dave Boggon, on their journey back from the last Black Sabbath gig in Birmingham in February 2017, discussed forming a Sabbath tribute band, that would be the Sabbath equivalent of the Australian Pink Floyd, accurately reproducing Black Sabbath tracks from the albums to be indistinguishable from the real band. Where the music would be presented in a well thought out stage show with lights, atmospherics, back projections and pyrotechnics where venues allowed.
Our progress since we did our first gig in April 2018 has been stratospheric, from playing to 50 punters then, to playing in front on 800 people at the O2 Academy in Newcastle Christmas 2018
In less than 12 months we have been approached by a management company that used to manage the Australian Pink Floyd, we signed the deal in May.
Favourite Sabbath song?
All of them! At the moment we especially enjoy playing God Is Dead from the album 13.
Have you met Black Sabbath? What do they think of you?
Rik spoke to Tony Iommi at a talk in North Shields last August, and managed to ask him a question which he asked from the stage. Both Mick and Rik have tickets to another talk in Birmingham on Wednesday 26th June with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, it’s a VIP event, so we hope get pictures taken with them both, and invite them to our Birmingham gig at The Asylum 2 Friday 28th June 2019 doors open 7pm. Tickets available on line or on the door.
The original band do know about us because we have contacted them and their management, no idea what they think about us yet, but I think we are going to find out very soon.

Any advice for a new tribute band just starting out?
Be passionate and totally obsessed by the original band and the music. Have a very clear idea of what you want achieve being a tribute band. Practice, practice, practice, then rehearse, rehearse and rehearsal for all you are worth.
Then get out, play and give it everything you’ve got!
