How did I get started playing drums?
I started playing the drums at the age of 12 after seeing bands like The Sweet, Alice Cooper and T Rex on Top of the Pops.
Some of my musical achievements
I started playing in pubs with various bands from the age of 15 and I have shared stages with many named bands such as The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Magnum, Saxon, Nazareth and Steve Vai. I have also played many large festivals such as the Bulldog Bash and Stormin the Castle playing to audiences of up to 5000 people.
Influences
My main influences over the years have been Bill Ward, Cozy Powell, Tommy Aldridge, Mikky Dee, Simon Phillips and Brian Downey.
Equipment used
Pearl drums and a mixture of Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste cymbals.
Desert island disc
If I had one album to take with me to a desert island it would have to be the first album by Black Sabbath titled, Black Sabbath. This was the album that first got me into wanting to be in a band and seriously wanting to play drums.
